Retirement Portfolio Resilience — Corporate Presentation

How will your retirement portfolio respond to the next major market fall?

In retirement, contributions cease while withdrawals continue. Cash can provide time, but we cannot determine how long markets will take to recover.

Responsible stewardship means constructing the portfolio in advance for both financial and behavioural survivability.

Traditional retirement portfolios include Growth, Defensive and Retirement Income. But what part of the portfolio is specifically responsible for sequencing risk and behavioural survivability?

Retirement Portfolio Resilience

Retirement Portfolio Resilience is a dedicated portfolio function designed to address this problem. It sits alongside Growth, Defensive and Retirement Income.

What difference can 5% make?

One RPR Unit represents 5% of the total portfolio.

Across four Australian equity-market falls of 7% or more since January 2022, one RPR Unit historically mitigated approximately 36% of the loss attributable to the Australian-equity allocation using Class A, and 39% using Class B.

Over the five years to 30 September 2026, Gyrostat Class A returned 9.62% p.a. and Class B returned 10.35% p.a.

Over the past three years, maximum quarterly losses were −0.52% for Class A and −0.84% for Class B, within their respective downside-risk tolerances.

Both strategies have demonstrated low market sensitivity, with ASX 200 betas of −0.09 for Class A and −0.22 for Class B, providing diversification benefits alongside traditional growth and defensive allocations.

The updated Corporate Presentation sets out the Retirement Portfolio Resilience framework, historical evidence, investment process and adviser implementation.
